Testimonials
Dear Kay, on behalf of members of the OSCA, I write to thank you and WPR for your time and efforts in assisting us with the development of Opera in the Otways.
We were very happy to be recommended Weaving PR and pleased that you accepted the brief of developing surveys, collecting data, briefing survey collection volunteers, analysis of data and preparation of the funding acquittal requirements for the event.
… our funding bodies, sponsors, and our wider membership will be very happy with the completed data analysis and documents.
- Helen Chambers, on behalf of the Otway Scenic Circle Association, Opera Sub Committee.
Weaving PR’s Kay and Grant were the consecutive past presidents of the student teams which produced Geelong’s Streets Are Alive events in 2010 and 2011.
They are very capable organisers whose administrative and public relations skills were of great assistance to me in ensuring the success of the Streets Are Alive events.
In 2010 and 2011 Kay and Grant both worked on many facets of The Apollo Bay Music Festival, from media launches to market research, mcing to stage management and producing the highly successful street performer components of the event.
Most recently as Weaving PR they are are helping my organisation to promote and ticket concerts for the internationally acclaimed UK Eddi Reader Quartet in Geelong & Sydney.
Their commitment to projects and passion for events, especially in regional Victoria is second to none.
Gee they’re good, I just love ‘em.

About Us
Kay Saunders
Kay is Geelong born and bred. Her career has travelled many paths, sampling experiences from small business ownership to teaching at a variety of Geelong high schools.
After 20 years teaching, Kay decided on a career change and completed an Advanced Diploma Business – Public Relations at The Gordon. Kay relished in the course and realised she had landed on her feet when she learned that the course incorporated the ‘real life’ project Streets Are Alive, a celebration of music and street entertainment in central Geelong.
As organising team president, Kay immersed herself in team building and networking to make Streets Are Alive a success.
Kay formed Weaving PR in late 2010. She loves to organise and promote events of all sorts and is keen to expand the business in diverse ways.
Grant Conn
Grant is a competent scribbler and occasional public gabbler.
His background in human resources and warehousing has given him skill in reducing complex and convoluted subjects to small and understandable chunks.
He has a BA from Deakin University with majors in Journalism and Social Studies of Science, plus a Public Relations Diploma from The Gordon Institute.
His business is to have fun using his communication skills to help others achieve their goals, whatever they might be.
He is a happy bicyclist, a careful motorcyclist, an even more careful rock climber and a very ordinary mandolin player.
